Just Arriving
It was the first day I arrived at Haiti. I remember steeping out of the airplane into the terminal. I'm not going to lie it didn't smell the best. My stomach couldn't take it so I lost my lunch. If you know what that means. After that I went into the bathroom and cleaned myself up. We waited there for what seemed like days. Finally we were ready to go I grabbed my luggage and we went out of the airport. It was very hot outside. We waited under the shade for another 30 mins and then a large open back delivery truck arrived. It was neat seeing that they had taken out the back so that people could get in. We loaded the luggage in the large truck. Then the ladies waited for the bus that arrived soon after.

I have a passion for helping others. Especially those who are less fortunate than me. I have been to Haiti before. I went for about a week. We went to a orphanage to play with the children. We also painted the walls. To see those kids smile brought warmth to my heart. It meant so much to see them laugh, smile, and play. They worshipped God even though they had nothing. I have became so much more appreciative now that I see how blessed I am. I can't wait to go back this spring. I feel in love with two kids named Mersondy and Samuel. We drove about four hours to get to the beach but it was fine because I had them by my side. On the way there sometimes the bus broke out it was exciting. On the way back they fell asleep in my arm. I love and miss them dearly.
